How to Dress Up Your Table for Christmas Pictures

For some families, Christmas is one of the few times of the year they all get to be together. It follows that you would want to be able to record your memories by taking plenty of pictures. Dressing up your Christmas table will help create a good ambiance and will also make it look great for any photos you want to take. Put a cream or white tablecloth on the table and a colored runner down the middle. Choose a Christmasy color such as red, green, gold or silver. This gives you a splash of festive color without making your table too garish.

Lay out a place for each person eating dinner by putting down place mats, cutlery, drinking glasses and dinner plates.

Place a centerpiece on your table. You'll want to keep it small to leave room for the food. Some ideas include a clear glass filled with baubles, a glass jar filled with candy canes, a Christmas sled or train or an arrangement of unscented candles and pine cones.
